Smoke alarms: Make them work for you!” This year’s focus is on working smoke alarms. Smoke alarms can make a life-saving difference in a home fire, but they have to be working in order to deliver the needed protection. This is in response to National Fire Protection Association® data, which shows that the majority of U.S. home fire deaths continue to occur in homes with no smoke alarms or no working smoke alarms. “Smoke alarms can make a life-saving difference in a home fire, but they have to be working in order to deliver the needed protection.” For the full story, please visit the Hyperlink and YouTube Video link below.
As a community outreach service and as part of our mission statement, members of the BGVFD will be conducting an educational demonstration with students of the Buffalo Gap Elementary School during fire prevention week.
